Learn how to make health and beauty products right in your
home.  Choose your own pure and natural ingredients to make
homemade soaps and also learn how to use simple herb
combinations for first aid or for providing relief and healing
from minor illnesses.

This workshop is presented in two sections.

9:30 - 10:30 a.m., Section 1:  Soap Making 101. Learn the
basics of cold-process soap making. You will be taught the
process to create wonderfully nourishing and moisturizing
vegetable-based soap made with all natural ingredients.

10:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon, Section 2:  Herbal Health Care.
Learn the basic philosophy of "Herbalism" and how to use herbs
to make teas, decoctions, tinctures, glycerites, poultices and
fomentations for natural health and healing. So many helpful
plants are right in our midst, and with a little knowledge, you
can use plants in your own backyard or herbs from your own
kitchen to make simple health tonics and herbal medicines.

Presented by Christine Abbey, Master Herbalist. Christine
received her MH degree from the School of Natural Healing in
2011 and has been making and using natural, homemade soap
and herbal remedies since 2006.
