A Spring Harvest Celebration will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2011, at River City Grill in Punta
Gorda. A collaboration of Worden Farm, the Charlotte Technical Center Culinary Arts Program,
and River City Grill, this farm-to-table event will feature multiple grazing stations, offering a full
dinner’s worth of delicious dishes using sustainably-produced, locally-sourced foods. The event
will begin with a full cash bar cocktail hour at 5:00 p.m., with the grazing stations opening at 6:
00 p.m.

River City Grill is located at 131 West Marion Ave., Punta Gorda, FL, 33950.

Grazing stations will feature prepared dishes with local organic produce from Worden Farm,
created and served by Charlotte Technical Center’s Culinary Arts Program Chef Instructor Jason
Osborne, and his talented student chefs. At each grazing station, crops featured in the prepared
dishes will be displayed alongside, in their raw, freshly-harvested states, with information about
how each crop is grown.

Diners will be welcomed by Chris Worden, Ph.D. and Eva Worden, Ph.D., owners of Worden
Farm. The apprentice farmers from Worden Farm will be on hand to discuss organic farming with
guests, and River City Grill’s Executive Chef Steve Iadevaia will be available to share his
experiences of using local organic produce at River City Grill.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Charlotte Technical Center Culinary Arts Program. The
mission of the Charlotte Technical Center (CTC) is to provide an effective, innovative technical
education preparing students to enter, advance, and succeed in the workplace.
