Food Shed at Worden Farm offers prepared foods to-go or to enjoy at picnic tables on the farm.
Students from the Charlotte Technical College (CTC) Culinary Arts Program are learning entrepreneurial skills and seasonal place-based cuisine.
Their veggie-forward foods are for sale each week in season, December through mid-April, to Worden Farm members and registered guests of events on Wednesday afternoons from 2:00-6:00 PM.
CTC student chefs, guided by their instructors, Chef Jason Osborne, Chef Ron Westrom, and Chef Jenna Hartman, create seasonal soups, sandwiches, pesto, pickles, baked goods, ice cream and more from Worden Farm organic produce and other local ingredients.
This project is a Seeding the Future initiative, fully supported by Worden Farm, and all profits go directly to the Charlotte Technical College.
